Happy Easter! It’s been a long winter and I’ve gone through a lot of ups and downs, but I’m finally getting a sense that just maybe I’ve turned the corner. Or to put it another way, I’m a lot more optimistic these days.
That being the case, I’m going to pay a little more attention to the good old GMC. It will take a while to get back to where it was, but I am determined to do my best to make it an informative and entertaining destination.
I’ve also decided to venture into areas I’ve neglected during the dozen or so years I’ve been doing this. For example, I’ve always tried to avoid talking politics on the GMC. I knew everybody had their own positions so I never felt the need to put my own out there. That is no longer the case.
Folks, we’re at a crisis point and it’s just getting worse. I might not be around that many more years but I shudder to think that my kids and grandkids might have to live in a country defined by that thug in the white house and his group of sycophants and enablers. It’s time to do something about it.
So – like many people – I’ve been looking for alternatives. The Democrats seem to have countless choices, including old pros that probably shouldn’t be running and others who jump from one trendy cause to another. So when I first began hearing about Pete Buttigieg, I thought is he kidding? The 37 year old mayor of a small Indiana city would be the last person you’d think of in the White House. But I figured anyone would be an improvement over the current Bozo so I began looking a little deeper.
Peter Buttigieg (boot-edge-edge) is a Harvard grad, a Rhodes scholar, an Afgan veteran, speaks eight languages, and has eight years of governmental experience. (Compared to zero years for the current president.) He’s even a classically trained pianist.
But even more importantly, he speaks clearly and intelligently about the issues that matter. He has real ideas, not just a lot of double-talk.
I’m on board, even though I realize he’s a long shot. If you’re interested, here’s his website: http://peteforamerica.com
I’m sorry that you think that Pres. Trump is a “Bozo”. OK Maybe you (and others) don’t like his personality, but he has done more for this country in a shorter time than any other modern day President. How are your stocks doing? How about the lowest unemployment rate in years…especially for blacks and Asians? Isis is no longer the threat it was when Trump was elected. The southern border: There IS a CRISIS!!!!!! The Dems know it, but they feel it is a good thing that all the ILLEGAL aliens are coming here…….they hold the future votes to keep the Dems in office. Shame, shame, shame on them….while they have walls around their own homes. So you want to see America go SOCIALIST!!!!! You know very well that socialism has failed in every country that has had it. God help us if Pres. Trump is not re-elected. Are Americans as stupid as they appear to be? I refer to the LEFT. Let’s hope they wake up before it’s too late.

President Trump has only done things that benefit himself and his family financially. Yes, our country is doing well, but it is not because of Trump. It is because of the intelligent people running the govt in the background…and not Russia. Trump is a racist, sexist, egomaniac….I don’t think he is someone that the youth of this country can look up to. My stocks are the same they have been. I don’t support a candidate now but its not going to be Trump. Sorry, Im not drinking the koolaid.

Sigh. If I had a dollar for every time a Trump supporter lists his “accomplishments” while totally turning a blind eye to his countless shortcomings, I could pay for the trillion dollar deficit he’s created. You are certainly entitled to your opinion, but all the capitalized words and exclamation marks you’re using just make you sound desperate.

I’m not sure who this is meant for. If it’s for the first commentor then the answer is they get it from Fox News. But the rest of us are getting our information from the remaining 90% of news sources, plus our own eyes and ears. And don’t forget Mueller.
