Is it just my imagination, or is there a lot more attention being paid to ‘Black Friday’ this year? I know it’s been a big deal for quite some time now, but in recent years it has even expanded into ‘Black Friday Weekend’ and then “Black Friday Week’, although I haven’t seen any ads for ‘Black Friday Month’ — yet.
One thing I do know is that I won’t be leaving the house and going anywhere near any of the chaos. I try to avoid crazy scenes with large, berserk crowds where a person can get hurt. (See video below for a typical occurrence from last year.)
Of course, all the online retailers are also running all kinds of specials for Black Friday, so even staying home doesn’t necessarily eliminate my participation in the fun — and some of those deals look pretty darn good.
