I’m not sure if this really qualifies as a New Year’s resolution, but I thought I would use the occasion to make a little promise to anyone who regularly stops by the ol’ GMC.
I was checking some of the links in the left column and realized that a couple lead to blogs and/or websites that appear to have been abandoned. Of course, there can be all kinds of reasons for that so I’m not blaming anyone. There might be some folks who are no longer able to keep up their blogs because of illness, or worse (a definite possibility for geezers), and if there are others who just don’t want to keep doing it, that’s fine. After all, one of the characteristics of the whole internet experience is that you have the freedom to decide what you want to waste your time on.
But here’s my New Year’s resolution/promise for the Geezer Music Club. If I ever get to the point where I just don’t want to do this any more, I’ll tell you. I won’t leave you hanging. So if my posting ever abruptly stops, you’ll know that something’s going on that’s out of my control. Otherwise I’ll be showing up here pretty much on the same schedule I’ve kept for nearly seven years — a day on and a day off.
Happy new year!
