Patterns In The Green Stuff

As someone who has repeatedly denied having any desire to partake in yardwork, you might find it odd that I would find so much fascination with pictures like the one below. But even though it looks like someone’s intricately carved lawn, it’s actually a picture I found from doing a search for ‘crop circles’.

I was a little curious about crop circles because the subject came up in a book I’m reading. So I ‘googled’ it and found that — not surprisingly — cyberspace is full of pictures of amazing vegetative designs, along with websites dedicated to the subject.

I thought it would be good as the basis for one of those posts I occasionally put together — you know, the kind that are centered around an unusual picture? (And that often show up on weekends when I’m a little uninspired and/or lazy?)

And oh yeah, something musical too — although it’s not exactly about crop circles, or the grass on the lawn either, for that matter. But it’s still a good song.
