It’s been a year or so since I’ve posted here, but it’s still a popular spot for folks who enjoy reading about music and nostalgia, so I thought I’d let everyone know that I’ve added a new list of recently deceased stars that have earlier been featured on the GMC. You might have already noticed it in the side column but it shows the names and dates, and of course if you click on each it will take you to the post.
I’ve looked back over the past couple of months and have found a few to start with, and even though I’m still not back in regular blogging mode (sorry) I will try to keep an eye open for any more that occur. I’d also be open to receiving notifications from the many folks who still stop by the GMC from time to time. You can easily do that with a comment — just click on ‘comments’ in the title.
Thank you for keeping us posted about the blog, hope you will keep it up. I am pretty new here and it fitting that I signed up. I may not be a geezer but I do enjoy music

I forgot about this wonderful Geezer blog! I am getting old! I found 100s of Merle Travis songs on Archive.org & he was doing Wildwood Flower with Collins Kids & Chet Atkins, I did a search and Found This! I was born 1949, and in 1964 I seen Larry on TeeVee, I was a Hot Picker but Larry made me So Jealous, I didn’t know what to do! Haw Haw! I lived on Dairy Farms as a Kid, like the Collins, and was still on a Farm in Jones. Oklahoma when I got old enough to Retire, I live in SF, CA. where I BUSK with a Epiphone Joe Pass guitar. My best picking in insipred by these Giants, and I sure old timey music. God Bless you-ll.
